We began October with the rates for 30 year fixed mortgages at 6.17%, and began November with a rate of 6.89%.

The number of Sales of 1-4 family homes in the Bronx is down 9.5% from October 2023 to October 2024.

However despite low sales numbers home prices remain high and the median sales price for 1, 2, and 3-4 family homes continues to increase month over month.

The buyer demand remains very strong despite the low inventory and high rates.  I would expect to see this market continue for the foreseeable future.  Experts are predicting in increase of sales nationwide in 2025, and I believe we will see this in our local market as well.
